Head Coach Kayla McCormick started coaching with Stone Bridge Rowing Club December 2013. As a Loudoun
County Teacher she was able to connect with the team through the schools. She has her Level II Coaching Certification from USROWING.
Coach McCormick grew up in Northern Virginia and rowed for T.C. Williams High School. Throughout college
in D.C. at the Corcoran College of Art and Design she always kept her eye on the Potomac River as crews passed under the bridges. Since then her passion of
the sport has brought her back to coaching. When she isn't coaching rowing she teaches high school art, and is usually running, swimming, biking, or hiking in between.
"I love working with the high school age group because it's a time of unlocking potential and the building of self.
Being a coach and teaching the fundamentals of being a thriving academic athlete is one of the most enjoyable things I do."
